Quick Tips

What are your make up bag must haves?

Foundation for a flawless face, blush to bring the skin to life and black mascara to define and open the eyes.

How do I choose the right foundation?

When choosing a foundation never test the shade on your hand or wrist as they are not the same shade or texture as the skin on your face. The best place to trial a new foundation is along your jaw line. If the foundation fades into your skin, it's perfect!

What’s your top beauty tip?

Exfoliate and moisturise on a regular basis to keep skin fresh and supple.

What’s your favourite make up look at the moment?

Right now I love the summer look of healthy, bronzed, shimmering skin teamed with vibrant colours on the eyes or lips.

What’s the most sought after look?

The smokey eye never dates and suits EVERYONE! From soft and glamorous grey to punky and edgy black, beautyuk have the perfect collection of products to help you achieve the look. Eyeshadow palettes, eye pencils, metallic sparks, the choice is yours!

How can I get my lip colour to last longer?

Line the lips first, bleeding the colour onto the lips too. Apply a layer of your favourite colour, blot with tissue then apply a second layer of lip colour. Layering the pigment helps the colour stay much longer.

Why does my mascara dry out?

Don't pump the applicator wand in the mascara tube. Doing so will trap air inside and cause the mascara to dry out. Instead, twist the wand to collect more mascara on the brush and remember to replace your mascara at least every 3 months.

How do I achieve a radiant ‘glow’ on my skin like celebrities?

Choose one of the beautiful shades of blush from beautyuk to enhance (not change!) your natural skin tone. Next dust the striped highlighting blusher in your chosen shade over your cheekbones for an illuminating, radiant glow.

What’s your favourite beautyuk product?

Lash FX mascara in black – couldn’t leave the house without it!

How do I keep my foundation looking great all day and prevent ‘patchiness’?

Powder is the key product here! A light dusting of pressed powder with a powder brush will ‘set’ foundation and concealer giving your face a velvety, natural finish. It will also provide a smooth base for any blush, bronzer or highlighter to follow.
