You may have seen we recently featured Canadian makeup artist Katie Alves' incredible work on our blog and we have now teamed up with her to bring you an exciting new competition we've called 'Challenge Katie'.
Katie had never used any beautyuk products before so we thought we'd send her a few to put to use in one of her jaw-dropping looks. But now she wants your help. Katie wants to create something seriously original for her beautyuk look and needs some inspiration.
The best idea wins a £50 beautyuk goodie bag stacked with a selection of our top products. There will also be two runners up prizes of a set of our brand new shatter polishes. Intrigued? Then read on…
A bit more about Katie Alves
Hailing from Ontario, Canada, 21 year old Katie has been creating scenes on her eyes, lips and face since discovering her unique skill in October 2010. She was always a talented artist through school and college but confesses she 'sucked at makeup' until she came up with idea last Halloween of applying her skills as a more traditional artist to cosmetics.
Since then Katie has gained worldwide attention from groups such as Yahoo, AOL, Today.com and Win/Failblog to name a few, as well as being featured in the UK by the Daily Mail and Sun Newspaper. And her Facebook fan page is growing steadily by the day!

The competition
Together Katie and beautyuk are asking you to come up with a theme, a scene or an idea for Katie and she will create the look. It could be a movie, a season, a fruit, a celebrity or something completely out of this world! Remember, she wants to be challenged so think big! Think crazy! Dare I say it… think outside the box!!

- You can enter as many time as you like. Please supply individual ideas as separate comments or emails.
- This competition is open internationally.
- If you enter anonymously via the comments box below we will have no way of contacting you so you will not be eligible for a prize.
- First prize value is £50. Contents of goodie bag is chosen by beautyuk.
- Competition closes midnight on Wednesday 29th June.
